Ageplay (kinda Roleplay)
Role-playing games in which the participants act as if they were of a different age, for example in the well-known 'father-mother-child' game played by children. In principle, the age of the assumed role can be higher or lower than the actual age of the participant.
Anal stretching
Collective term for exercise techniques with the aim of stretching the sphincter muscles of the human anus.
Anal masturbation
Autosexually induced anal penetration or stimulation of additional extragenital erogenous zones (G-spot / P-spot) through anorectal insertion of objects (dildos / vibrators / anal plugs) with the intention of increasing the strength of orgasm.
Anal intercourse
Insertion of the erect male penis into the anus of the sexual partner.
Anilingus
Rimming or rim job; also known as oroanal contact, tongue anal, anus licking

Bukkake
Group sex practice in which several men ejaculate on another person. This usually takes the form of facial ejaculation, a form of facial insemination (also known as a cumshot).
Casual sex (also casual sex or casual dating)
Various types of sexual activity outside the realm of romantic relationships.
Chem-sex
Sexual intercourse under the influence of synthetic drugs.
Cleopatra's grip
During Cleopatra's grip, the vaginal muscles contract around the inserted penis and massage it. The man lies flat on his back in this position. Both partners remain still without moving their hips and without rhythmic thrusts. The woman kneels on all fours above the man and pulls the erect penis into herself by tensing and relaxing her vaginal muscles. The woman needs strong vaginal muscles and practice for this exercise. The tensing of the pelvic floor muscles has a pleasure-enhancing effect. The technique is known in Tantra as pompoir (Tamil). Other terms are Bhaga Asana (Sanskrit) and Playing the flute (English).
Coitus interruptus
An outdated and very unsafe method of natural contraception in which sexual intercourse is interrupted so that the man ejaculates outside the vagina and vulva in order to prevent the sperm from reaching the egg in the woman's fallopian tube.
Cuckold
Refers to a man who obtains sexual pleasure in a committed partnership or love relationship through his partner's intimate contact with other men (cheating). The cuckold may prefer dominant, voyeuristic, masochistic and/or submissive behavior.
Cybersex
Various forms of virtual eroticism, sexual interaction and pornography such as cam sex, sex simulations or sexting
Daoist sexual practices
A way of practising sex that originates from Daoism but was not practised by all Daoists, some of whom were also monks.
Deepthroating or gagging
Variation of oral sex in which a penis or dildo is fully inserted into the throat.
Depiliation
Removing body hair during foreplay, including pubic hair. Shaving someone as an erotic, as a turn on.
Dirty talk
The use of eroticizing or very descriptive and direct words before or during sexual intercourse to increase sexual stimulation.
Dogging (sexual practice)
A form of exhibitionism in which people meet for sex in public places, such as in the woods or in parking lots.
Doctor games and clinical eroticism
Among adults, sexual practices similar to doctor games are sometimes found in a BDSM context (sexual role play). This type of erotic play is also known as clinical eroticism, clinic sex or, in reference to the white clothing worn by doctors and nursing staff, white eroticism.
Dry sex
A sexual practice that is widespread in sub-Saharan Africa. Dry sex became particularly well known in connection with AIDS, as it facilitates the transmission of the HI virus. For dry sex, the woman inserts a powder (made from crushed herbs, roots or even small stones) or aluminum hydroxide stones into her vagina. This counteracts lubrication, as the vaginal secretions are bound by the powder. The vaginal vestibule and the vagina are thus kept artificially dry, which increases the frictional resistance for the man's penis during sexual intercourse and supposedly increases pleasure. This results in painful injuries to the vaginal skin.

Sexual practice in which direct current or low-frequency alternating currents are used for sexual stimulation
Erotic lactation
Breastfeeding of an adult partner or lactation primarily for erotic reasons.
Erotic roleplay
Two or more sexual partners take part, each assuming a specific role and behaving and possibly dressing or disguising themselves according to this role in order to give themselves and/or their partner pleasure.
Exhibitionism
Sexual preference in which the person concerned finds it pleasurable to be observed naked or during sexual activities by other (usually strangers). It is therefore the opposite of voyeurism.
Facesitting
Sexual practice in which one sexual partner sits on the face of the other with their genitals and/or buttocks. This can be done either naked or clothed.
Felching
Sexual practice in which one person sucks semen (usually their own) from their partner's vagina or anus after ejaculation, possibly using aids such as straws.
Fellatio (blowjob, deepthroat)
Form of oral sex in which the penis is stimulated by the sexual partner's mouth, tongue and lips - in deepthroating also by the throat region; sucking, blowing and sucking on the penis are also possible.
Femdom
Abbreviation for female dominance and refers to variations of BDSM in which a woman takes on the dominant role. The term can also refer to the dominant woman herself. By analogy, the dominance exercised by men or the male dominant is called maledom.
Fingering
Sexual satisfaction of the vulva, vagina or anus with the fingers or hand. 'Fingering oneself' is synonymous with female masturbation. It is the female equivalent of the male handjob (manual stimulation of the penis) and may be performed as a penetrative or non-penetrative sexual act. It is to be distinguished from fisting or similar sexual practices.
Fisting
Sexual practice in which several fingers or even one or more hands are inserted into the vagina (brachiovaginal) or anus (brachioproctal).
Threesome
Colloquial term for sexual intercourse between three people and thus represents the smallest possible variant of group sex.
Frotteur
A person who is sexually stimulated by rubbing against other people.
Group masturbation
Sexual practice in which a group of mostly male people form a circle and masturbate themselves or each other.
Group sex
Sexual practice involving more than two people. If three people have sex with each other, this is called a triplet or, colloquially, a 'threesome'.
Group sex is often practiced as an exchange of partners between two or more couples. Group sex often takes place at swingers parties and in swingers clubs set up specifically for this purpose.
Gang bang
A special form of group sex is the gangbang, which is characterized by an extreme majority of dominant or active-penetrating participants and the alternating penetration of less submissive or passive-receptive participants. In a reverse gangbang, on the other hand, the receiving participants are in the vast majority. If the receiving participant performs fellatio on a larger group of penetrating participants without being penetrated vaginally or anally, this is referred to as a blowbang.
Hairy Burger
Hairy Mary: Personification of the vagina. In gay speak, a macho male homosexual who's true sexual-orientation is not obvious to the untrained (straight) eye. Synonyms: butch-queen, crew-cut-queen, macho-fem, roarer.
Mohair knickers: Britishism coined in the 1990s for a woman with an extremely hairy crotch area.
Hair burger: female genitalia and pubic-hair, derived from meat and fur. And could be a word for an act of cunnilingus: To eat a fur-burger - eatEAP. It's yummy. EAPme.
Handjob
Sexual practice in which one sexual partner stimulates the penis of the other with their hand alone, usually until ejaculation.
Urethral stimulation
Sexual practice in which the male or female urethral opening (lat. ostium urethrae externum) or the urethra (lat. urethra) is stimulated. This can be done either manually or by inserting objects.
Scrotal infusion
Sexual practice where sterile isotonic saline solution is slowly infused into the man's scrotum. This leads to a swollen, heavily hanging scrotum, which is perceived as erotic if you have the right preferences. It is therefore a deliberately induced hydrocele
Sexual intercourse
Traditionally understood to be the heterosexual union of two sexual partners in which the man inserts the erect penis into the woman's vagina - vaginal intercourse.
Injaculation
A male orgasm caused by (finger) pressure ('Saxonian grip') on a genital point (million dollar point, saxonus, also Jen-Mo point) between the scrotum and anus or by tensing the pubococcygeus muscle (PC muscle) and preventing ejaculation to the outside. This term is to be distinguished from retrograde ejaculation after a corresponding operation, in which the sperm flows back into the bladder.
Karezza
Sexual practice in which the man consciously and voluntarily refrains from ejaculation
Kunyaza
Traditionally used in Rwanda, this method literally means 'to make a man urinate'. The aim is to achieve a female orgasm of a special quality, which is associated with female ejaculation.
Kiss
Physical contact with a person or object using the mouth.
Tickling
Erotic play between two partners that is intended to enhance sex life. While the passive partner is given the opportunity to reduce inhibitions, let go and confide in the other, the active partner can learn to sense the desires of the other.
Masturbation
A - predominantly manual - stimulation of one's own sexual organs, which usually leads to orgasm. Various aids can also be used.
Breast intercourse (also known as breast sex or tit fucking)
Form of sexual intercourse in which the sexual partner's sexual organ is rubbed against the partner's breasts. It can be practiced between a man and a woman as well as between two women.
Machine sex
Sexual practice in which you can be brought to orgasm by machine using suitable sex toys. A sexual partner is not required for this.
Nipple stimulation
Widespread sexual practice that is often practiced in conjunction with other practices, but can also be practiced alone.
Oral sex
Collective term for sexual practices in which one sexual partner stimulates the genitals of the other with the mouth (lips, tongue, teeth).
Orgy
Term for communal acts that deliberately violate morality, especially sexual morality.
Public sexual intercourse
Sexual intercourse that takes place in a public space or is freely visible from there.
Pegging (sexual practice)
Sexual practice in which a man (or woman) is anally penetrated by a woman using a strap-on.
Petting
sexual acts between people that include any kind of sexual stimulation without consummation of sexual intercourse.
Phone sex
Satisfying sexual desires over the phone.
Prostate massage
Sexual practice for sexual stimulation.
Quickie
'Quickie': (spontaneous) sexual intercourse, especially sexual intercourse with very brief or no foreplay.
Roleplay
The variations of role play in BDSM or in a sexual context in general are countless. There are those in which you remain yourself, but turn other or only certain character traits outwards. Staging the typical BDSM power imbalance is also a kind of role play. One side takes on the submissive role, the other the dominant one. Age play is another example of role play in which you retain your own identity. Here, the role changes with age. Of course, role-playing games also offer the exciting opportunity to shed your own identity. Namely when you portray a different, fictitious person. Many kinksters also love to transform themselves into an animal or an object. They don't want to play as a person at all.
Sexual magic
Sexual and magical practices in the context of modern Western occultism and, more broadly, modern spiritual movements in the Western world and the concepts associated with them.
Snowballing (also known as cum swapping or cumswapping for short)
Sexual practice in which semen is collected in the mouth during oral sex in order to give it to another person as part of a French kiss, for example.
Sodomy
Sexual behavior that does not serve the purpose of procreation in marriage (non-regenerative). For sexual preference for animals, see zoophilia.
Stealthing
Abusive sexual practice where the sexual partner secretly removes their condom without the consent of the other partner and penetrates their body without a condom.
Tease and denial (T&D)
Collective term for all those sexual practices that are used to intensify sexual arousal without reaching orgasm. These types of sexual play are usually part of a sexual relationship with a partner, regardless of gender, sexual preference and orientation.
Thigh intercourse
The sexual stimulation of a man by rubbing his penis between the thighs of another person.
Urethral intercourse
Sexual intercourse involving the urethra. The man's penis is inserted into the woman's urethra.
Vaginal intercourse
Mixed-sex human physical union involving the insertion of an erect penis into a woman's vagina
Verbal eroticism
Term for an interest in talking or boasting about sexual fantasies and (alleged) sexual experiences, which presumably exceeds the actual sexual experience.
Voyeurism
Form of sexuality in which a voyeur (colloquially also known as a peeping Tom) is sexually aroused by looking at undressed or naked people or by observing sexual acts.

Position during vaginal intercourse in which the man gets into a kneeling or squatting position and his partner lies on his back in front of him. The man lifts the woman's pelvis onto his thighs and inserts his penis into her so that he is kneeling between her thighs.
Coitus a tergo
'Sexual intercourse from behind' or vis a tergo (Latin for 'force from behind'), often shortened to a tergo (Latin for 'from behind')
Generic term for several positions and variations of sexual intercourse in which one partner has the other's back in view.
Cunnilingus
Form of oral sex in sexuality in which the sexual partner (regardless of gender) stimulates the external female sexual organs - the clitoris, labia or vaginal entrance - with the tongue and lips.
Doggy position
Variant of coitus a tergo
In doggy style, the passive partner kneels on all fours and the active partner approaches him from behind and inserts his penis. Both the vagina and the anus can be penetrated.
Flanquette
Flank
A heterosexual sex position in which both partners lie on their sides and turn halfway towards each other.
Missionary position
The woman lies on her back with her legs spread and the man on top of her. During sexual intercourse between men, the penetrating partner is also on top in the missionary position.
Riding position /
Riding, riding position
The penetrating partner lies on their back; the penetrated partner climbs over them and inserts their member into the vagina or anus in a kneeling or squatting position. This position is particularly suitable if the penetrating partner's mobility is restricted (e.g. due to injuries or physical disabilities).
Sixty-nine /

Sexual position in which both partners satisfy each other orally at the same time. The partners lie on top of each other or turned on their sides so that one partner's face is next to the other's genitals and vice versa. This allows the man's penis and scrotum and the woman's external genitalia (clitoris, labia, vulva) to be orally stimulated and caressed by the other's mouth (lips, tongue, teeth) at the same time.

In the spooning position, the partners lie on their sides and the active partner penetrates the passive partner's anus or vagina from behind.
Tribadism
Non-penetrative sexual practice in which a woman rubs her external genitalia against her partner for the purpose of clitoral stimulation. The term is predominantly used in connection with a same-sex practice between women, but it can also refer to the rubbing of the vulva and clitoris against an object regardless of sexual orientation.
Tea bag
Variation of sexual intercourse in which a man places his scrotum on the face or head of a sexual partner or inserts it into his/her mouth. The name tea bag refers to the similarity of the practice to the use of a tea bag and hot water. As a non-penetrative form of intercourse, it can be seen as a form of play in its own right or as foreplay.
Viennese oyster
The woman lies on her back and crosses her legs behind the man's head. The man penetrates and puts all his weight on the woman. During penetration, he feels increased pressure on his penis. In variations of the Viennese oyster, the woman can also cross her feet behind the man's neck.

Bottom
A person who assumes the passive or submissive role for the duration of a play scene (session) or within a relationship.
Centering (BDSM)
An erotic role-playing game in which a man slips into the role of a woman through clothing and behavior. It is a playful form of cross-dressing. In the BDSM scene, role play in which a gender other than one's own is assumed is also referred to as gender play.
Cock and Ball Torture
Sexual, pleasurable and painful stimulation of the penis and scrotum.
Cover (BDSM)
Common term for a 'guardian angel' on blind dates.
Dungeon (BDSM)
A room specially prepared for BDSM activities.

Sexual practice in BDSM in which a prepared piece of ginger (similar to a suppository or a small butt plug) is inserted into the bottom's anus and rectum as a foreign object.
Flagellantism
Sexual preference for either beating oneself or being beaten by a partner.Chastity belt (also Florentine belt)Instrument for partial withdrawal of self-control, which is mainly used today in BDSM practices. It is intended to prevent the wearer from having sexual intercourse or masturbation. The typical construction consists of a steel belt around the waist in combination with a steel band through the crotch and a lock. Different designs for use on men (see penis cage) are also common.
Gag (mouth)
Gags are used in some BDSM sexual practices, usually on a consensual, reasonable and safe basis, the principle known within the subculture as Safe, Sane, Consensual. The English term gag is often used instead of the German word. Well-known variants are the ball gag, ring gag, snaffle gag, balloon gag, penis gag, muzzle, adhesive tape, cloths, jaw spreader and hose gag.

Maledom
Abbreviation for male domination and refers to the heterosexual variant of BDSM in which the man takes on the dominant role. The counterpart to maledom is femdom.
Masochism
A person who experiences sexual pleasure or satisfaction by being inflicted with pain or being humiliated.
Metaconsensus
Controversial erotic role-playing games that move in the border area between consensual and non-consensual action. Metaconsent is also more rarely referred to in German as 'consensual non-consent' (CNC, amicable non-consensuality).
Mummification (BDSM)
Sexual practice from the field of bondage in which the body or individual body parts are wrapped with suitable material, which severely restricts freedom of movement.
Mono glove
Sex toy used to physically restrain a partner. It is used to fix the arms in a relatively comfortable position on the back. Both arms are stretched out and, as far as anatomically possible, arranged in parallel. The restrained partner cannot free themselves under their own power.
Penis cage (also known as a chastity cuff)
Sex toy for restraining or partially withdrawing self-control over male genitalia. It is used as part of BDSM activities and prevents erection, masturbation and sometimes orgasm during erotic role play.
Powerlessness play
This involves deliberately inducing a faint. Waking up can be associated with a euphoric feeling.
Petplay
Erotic role play in which at least one partner plays the role of an animal.
Safeword
A signal word used by the receiving partner to indicate that they do not wish to continue the act. In the context of consensual practices, a pronounced safeword (also for legal reasons) is regarded as an unconditional obligation to stop immediately. The efficient and trusting use of safewords is one of the absolutely necessary prerequisites for BDSM.
Safe, Sane, Consensual.
Two different concepts within BDSM to ensure consensuality between the participants in potentially risky activities and thus clearly distinguish the practices used from punishable sexual violence. The use or observance of SSC is both older in terms of developmental history and more widespread than that of RACK.
Sadism
The exercise of power or violence over other people or animals is a source of sexual arousal for the patients concerned.
Spanking
Slapping the clothed or exposed buttocks; in a broader sense also on neighboring body parts such as the thighs, back or external genitals. The blows are delivered with the flat of the hand or with an object such as a cane, whip, birch rod, carpet beater, hairbrush, paddle, martinet, tawse, bullwhip or similar.
Subspace
Change of state of consciousness that the receiving partner (sub or bottom) can experience during a game scene and which is popular because of its similarity to intoxication. Another term for this is 'flying'.
Sensory deprivation
Deprivation of sensory stimuli (i.e. sensory impressions, see also perception).
Switch (BDSM)
The duration of a play scene (session), within a relationship or with different partners, can take on both the active and passive role. The other person is referred to as top (active) or bottom (passive) according to the chosen role of the switch. Switch, bottom or top can be male or female; the term only indicates the chosen role.
Top (BDSM)
Person who takes on the more dominant, often active role for the duration of a play scene (session) or within a relationship. The other person is called the bottom.
Total enclosure
Describes the complete enclosure of the body using a specific material, for example latex (also referred to here as heavy rubber), leather or Lycra (referred to here as zentai). Total enclosure can also support sensory deprivation by restricting the sense of touch.
Total Power Exchange
Refers to a partnership concept in the BDSM scene that can include sadomasochism but focuses on D/s (dominance and submission). The aim is the complete submission of the submissive partner (often referred to as sub, slave or bottom) to the dominant partner (master/mistress or top).
Vanilla sex
Practices that do not contain any fetish or BDSM elements; also used by heterosexuals to describe the missionary position as vanilla in the sense of 'simple, just normal'.
Sex Toys
Butt plug (also spelled butt plug or butt plug and also anal plug or anal plug)
A type of dildo that is inserted into the anus and, thanks to its special shape, can remain there securely without slipping in or out. Butt plugs are used by both men and women. They are used to prepare for anal intercourse as well as for sexual stimulation.
Cockring
A ring made of leather, latex, rubber, silicone, soft plastic or metal that is placed around the penis, glans or scrotum. Rings made of metal are worn as intimate jewelry, e.g. behind the glans. A cock ring can be used for erectile dysfunction or generally to strengthen and prolong the erection during various sexual practices. Rings worn around the scrotum also keep the testicles in one place during orgasm, which is intended to intensify the orgasm.
Dilator (also dilator or bougie)
Device for widening (bougienage) existing body orifices (e.g. urethra, anus, oesophagus, vagina, cervix) or artificial accesses such as the puncture canal for the insertion of a central venous catheter or a puncture tracheostomy
Dildo (also Godemiché)
Sex toy that usually resembles an erect penis in its classic shape and size. However, in recent years, other materials, shapes and colors have also been offered. Dildos for female customers are often offered in bright colors and imaginative shapes, while male customers often prefer lifelike phallic shapes. The dildo is inserted for vaginal or anal penetration to stimulate the clitoris and the so-called G-spot in women or the prostate in men during masturbation or used for mutual stimulation during sex play.
Electroplug (also e-plug or stimulation current plug)
A type of dildo that is inserted into the anus. Electroplugs are used by both men and women. They are used to prepare for anal intercourse and for erotic electrostimulation through the supply of stimulation current. Electroplugs are used with bi- or monopolar stimulation current devices that emit electricity for TENS.
Fleshlight, artificial vagina or masturbator
Device that simulates a vagina. Also available in versions for the mouth or anus.
Urethral plug
A urethral plug is used to stimulate the urethra and can be used by both men and women, but there are also special versions just for men
Hitachi Magic Wand (also known as Magic Wand Original and Original Magic Wand, or Magic Wand for short)
Electrically operated, wand-shaped massager with a vibrating head section. The device was originally developed to treat muscle tension and later became famous for its use as a vibrator for clitoral stimulation.
Testicular parachute
Cone-shaped cuff that is placed around the scrotum. The cuff is called a parachute because of its resemblance to a parachute. The cuff is often made of leather, but can also be made of or with latex, rubber or lacquer. Decorative rivets are often attached on the outside or small steel pins on the inside to give the wearer an additional sensory stimulus. Chains with a ring or hook are usually attached to the sides of the cuff. Weights can be attached to this ring to regulate the pressure or tension on the scrotum.
Pleasure balls (also known as love balls, anal balls, orgasm balls, sometimes also pleasure beads, love beads or 'thunder balls')

Mechanical device that is used to stimulate a person sexually
Sex doll
Life-size replicas of the human (usually female, but also male), occasionally also animal, body that are used as sex aids, usually for masturbation. More rarely, this term is also used to describe dolls that are used to demonstrate the sexual organs or sexual processes of humans and animals in order to illustrate the sexual organs or sexual processes, and which therefore belong to the category of biomodels.
Sex robot
A robot or an electronic sex doll which, in contrast to a pure sex machine, usually has an anthropomorphic appearance and is used for sexual acts or fantasies.
Sybian
Is an electric motor-driven sex toy developed by David L. Lampert and manufactured by his company Abco Research Associates in Monticello (Illinois), from where it is distributed worldwide (see also sex machine).
Vibrator
Electromechanical sex toys in various shapes and made of different materials that are vibrated by a small electric motor. Originally developed as a medical device to combat so-called 'female hysteria', the movement is intended to stimulate erogenous zones on the body. Today, vibrators are mainly designed as masturbation aids or sex toys for sexual intercourse between partners for the sexual arousal of women, but can also be used by men. Special vibrators are available for certain areas of the body, such as the breast or anus.
Modelling Levels / Agreement / Release
One possible definition (Purple Port). There are no fixed rules in the sense of laws. When casting you a precise agreement and a written fixation (the so called model release or 'release') always takes place on our part to ensure all partners know what will happen. Portrait
Simple as it sounds. Fully clothed portrait-style shots.
Fashion
Generally fully clothed, wearing particular outfits.
Glamour
This is the most challenging term to deal with as it covers everything from lingerie to explicit adult nude levels. It is best to find out exactly what's required before committing to shoot.
Lingerie
Wearing lingerie or swimwear. If you do not do nude work, be aware that some lingerie is see-through, particularly under flash lighting.
Implied Topless/Nude
This is where you wear clothes, but it looks like you are topless or nude.
Concealed Topless/Nude
You may be topless or nude, but no nipples, male bits or lady bits are showing. Usually, this is achieved by careful placement of items.
Topless
Breasts and nipples on show.
Artistic/Classic/Figure Nude/Nude
Full nude but no generally explicit poses. This could be in the artistic style with no provocative posing or sexual implications, or it could be a suggestive glamour style. Best to find out before the shoot.
Adult
A generic term. Generally means explicit images in some way. It's best to confirm what is wanted/required to avoid embarrassment later.
Playboy Nude
This is the middle ground between artistic and adult level nude. Playboy is the least explicit adult magazine. Difficult level to explain. This style generally means fairly artistic nudity.
You may be asked to do open-leg poses but not show your 'undercarriage' in detail. You will probably be standing, sitting with legs apart or maybe side-on or facing away from the camera (rather than full-on facing the camera with your legs behind your ears at 10 to 2 in the explicit adult style. This is still regarded as open leg.
Top Shelf Levels
This style is found in magazines on the top shelf of your local newsagent and is a massive market in itself, making up a large chunk of the glamour industry. For a model, it is a relatively quick and easy route to a good income because publishers are constantly looking for new faces but be aware once your images are out there in print or on the web, they are there permanently.
UK Magazine
This is an old term that refers to open leg posing of a style found in UK magazines that used to be less explicit than their US counterparts. This is no longer the case, and most UK top-shelf magazines now require the same levels as the US ones. For this glossary, UK mag means wide-open leg posing, genitals on display but not holding open or inserting anything.
US Magazine
The 'industry standard' level for most UK and US men's magazines. Involves open-leg posing with the genitals held open. There are no insertions or use of sex toys etc., at this level.
Continental
So-called because at one time, this level of posing could only be found in continental magazines. It involves the insertion of sex toys or fingers or whatever in the genitals.
This level is now found on the website versions of many top-shelf mags in the UK and is essentially the 'industry standard' for the US market. Some reasonably well-known publications such as Penthouse and Hustler sometimes now go up to this level. When someone offers you a 'continental' level shoot, please be aware it is unlikely they mean a trip to San Tropez.
Girl/Girl Artistic
Like artistic nude, nude - no explicit posing.
Boy/Girl Artistic
As above for Girl/Girl Artistic.
Girl/Girl Soft
Be very careful if asked to do this, and ensure you know what is required. Some may interpret these levels as the same as artistic, but 'soft' girl/girl in magazine terms is an explicit level and involves just about everything short of actual penetration with toys etc. Just be clear on what's required.
Boy/Girl Soft
As above for Girl/Girl Soft.
Girl/Girl Hard
This level crosses the boundary between modelling and porn. If you wish to do this, you would be well advised to take advice from people in the porn industry regarding health precautions, certifications etc.
Boy/Girl Hard
The same advice as above applies, but even more so!
Gonzo/POV
These are porn industry terms. Nothing we are in.
